7 Generations Sustainability. Seven generation sustainability is an ecological concept that urges the current generation of humans to live sustainable and work for the benefit of the seventh generation into the future.[citation needed] It originated[citation needed] with the Iroquois – Great Law of the Iroquois – which holds appropriate to think seven generations ahead (about 140 years into the future) and decide whether the decisions they make today would benefit their children seven generations into the future.

What is a Sustainable Farming Consultant?

Beyond Organix Sustainable Farming Consultants have a neutral role. A sustainability consultant is solely focused on the impact certain business choices have on the overall reduction of your operating costs and meeting our sustainability targets without being vested in personal design preferences.

Sustainable Farming consultants provide a broad expertise across multiple disciplines and are able to address questions and concerns in a variety of areas, usually based on prior experience working with numerous efficiency rating systems. Sustainability consultants specialize in these services and are motivated to maintain their education and qualifications in this challenging market.

How Does a Sustainable Farming Consulting Engagement Work?

Beyond Organix Sustainability Consulting Engagements consist of two phases:

1.    Project Research and Identification Phase

Beyond Organix Consultants are paid on a fixed fee basis to perform the research and identification of energy and business solutions. We can also extend this to include the selection and management of appropriate vendors to perform the selected solutions, which can include:

1. Energy efficiency
2. Energy self-generation (solar, etc.)
3. LEED Ratings on any Construction and/or Building Design
4. Wireless applications
5. Cloud-based software programs
6. Business process and operational continuity projects. Each project will have defined milestones, and an expected ROI will be mutually agreed upon between the customer and Beyond Organx, based on a guaranteed sustainable outcome over a mutually agreed timetable.

2.    Execution Phase

Upon identifying the right vendors, designs and applications, your Beyond Organix Sustainable Farming Consultant will work on your behalf to attain your agreed ROI and long term savings. The Beyond Organix Sustainable Farming Consultant has further incentive to achieve a higher rate of savings for you on every project, as they receive compensation over the first three year of actual savings as follows:

1. Year One: Savings Bonus Equal to 30% of your actual resulting savings
2. Year Two: Savings Bonus Equal to 20% of your actual resulting savings
3. Year Three: Savings Bonus Equal to 10% of your actual resulting savings

Engagements are performed on site and virtually, as needed, to ensure Clients are not impacted by projects and can maintain a focus on their core revenue focus.

Long Term Partnership

We partner with you to develop a customized, integrated, and self-funding sustainability program for your business. We offer tangible, practical strategies that you can easily implement, track, and adjust as your business grows.

1. Assess

Assess where you stand today with an Audit for Sustainable Farming benchmarks and compare to where you want to go. Prioritize your issues & drivers. Develop a shared understanding of energy efficiency and business sustainability, and help you engage your people in this culture change.

2. Plan

We develop simple action plans for sustainability initiatives which take advantage of federal, state, local and power company incentives and rebates where appropriate and optimal for business.

3. Implement

Action the plan using your current accountability process, or our proprietary toolset/implementation engine provided by Beyond Organix Partners and Resourcing Solutions.

4. Measure

Collect data on Key Performance Indicators and measure progress towards goals.

5. Inform

Communicate your experiences and results to internal (Staff) and external stakeholders (Vendors, Partners and Business Alliances).
